Christopher Rivas is an author, performer, playwright, founder of the Brown Literacy Movement, and organizer whose work spans film, theater, publishing, and youth literacy. Raised in Queens, NY the most diverse place in the world, home to 138 languages he creates at the intersection of culture, narrative justice, and systems change. His practice is rooted in healthy disruption and building spaces of belonging. His book, Brown Enough, part memoir, part social commentary explores Brownness in a Black/white world.
He's also the creator of two podcasts: Brown Enough, explores the parallel themes of his book through interview-style episodes; & Rubirosa, a 10-episode investigation of Porfirio Rubirosa, a Dominican diplomat, race car driver, and soldier who is the inspiration for ‘James Bond.’
