Shari is the author of the upcoming book Qualified: How Competency Checking and Race Collide at Work, a groundbreaking work that reframes the narrative around "broken pipelines," imposter syndrome, and the reasons why businesses, nonprofits, and society must not retreat from pursuing a more just, equitable, and diverse future. Shari is an innovator and thinker who helps organizations and individuals “change their thinking and their lives/organizations.” She weaves history, current insights, and diverse perspectives into narratives that inspire listeners and readers to uncover their own “a-ha” moments of understanding and transformation.
Shari brings cross-sector experience from the law, media, education, and social enterprise, creating fresh perspectives on issues such as imposter syndrome and pioneering original scholarship on a phenomenon she has named Competency Checking, which has too long gone unaddressed.
