Scott Shigeoka is an internationally recognized expert on curiosity, a dynamic speaker, and the award-winning author of Seek: How Curiosity Can Transform Your Life and Change the World. His work focuses on ways to strengthen well-being and relationships, including through his contributions at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and his groundbreaking courses at the University of Texas at Austin.

He's led creative projects on curiosity and connection with David Byrne, was the host of the wildly popular series Made in America, and serves as the Head of Curiosity Cultivation for the Eames Institute. He has also launched immersive theater experiences and music festivals in the United States and Europe. Scott's had a winding career, including a stint as a music writer for The Washington Post, as a Fulbright scholar in Iceland, working in Hollywood, and running community initiatives at the design firm IDEO.

In addition to his expertise in curiosity, Scott is also a talented screenwriter and playwright. Originally from Hawaii, he now resides in California.
