Big Universe, Small Universe: Which one are you in?

Training overview

How big is the universe of possibility you can see?

After traveling to more than 115 countries and working across economics, diplomacy, academia, international development, entrepreneurship, and communities around the world, Dr. Paul Rivera began observing how profoundly exposure shapes possibility.

Every person, culture, discipline, relationship, and experience can expand the universe from which we see possibilities, solve problems, and make decisions. As our universe grows, so does our ability to recognize resources, connections, perspectives, and pathways that were previously outside our field of view.

In this thought-provoking and deeply human talk, Dr. Rivera invites audiences to examine the universe in which they are currently operating. Who and what are they exposed to? What possibilities can they see? What resources can they recognize? Who are they learning from? How can they intentionally expand their universe?

Drawing from experiences across cultures, institutions, diplomatic environments, universities, and communities worldwide, Dr. Rivera gives participants a memorable framework for expanding perspective and seeing possibility through a wider lens.

Core Idea: The size of your universe shapes the possibilities you can see.
